How to duplicate a post

Overview

Steps for duplicating a post, page or any other content type in WordPress.

Steps

I. Install Yoast Duplicate Post plugin

1. Click Plugins
2. Click Add New
3. Enter Yoast Duplicate Post in the Search plugins… field
4. Click Install Now next to the correct result
5. Click Activate

II. Enable Duplicate Post for your different content types

1. Click Settings
2. Click Duplicate Post
3. Click Permissions
4. Select the content types that you want to be able to duplicate under Enable for these post types
5. Click Save changes

III. Duplicate a post

1. Find a post you want to duplicate
2. Hover your mouse over it
3. Click Clone
4. An exact copy will be created as a draft
