How to remove pages from sitemap

Steps for removing pages from sitemap.xml when using Yoast SEO.

Steps

For content types

1. Click SEO
2. Click Search Appearance
3. Click Content Types
4. Click the post type you want to hide
5. Click No under Show {type} in search results?
6. Click Save changes

For categories

1. Click Taxonomies under Search Appearance
2. Click the category you want to hide
3. Click No under Show {category} in search results?
4. Click Save changes

For individual posts or pages

1. Click on the post or page you want to hide
2. Scroll down to the Yoast SEO section
3. Click Advanced
4. Click No under Allow search engines to show this Page in search results?
5. Click Update
