Steps for setting up Google Search Console, formerly known as Google Webmaster Tools (GWT).

Steps

  1. Go to https://search.google.com/search-console/
  2. Click Domain
  3. Enter your domain
  4. Click Continue
  5. Complete the verification method and click Go To Property
  6. Click Sitemaps
  7. Enter the link to your website’s XML sitemap, e.g. https://example.com/sitemap_index.xml
  8. Click Submit
